Training Sites

Our general fellows train across three outstanding teaching hospital sites: UCSF Medical Center, the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) and the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center as well as in several clinics in the Bay Area and surrounding communities.  Each site is unique in what it offers with regard to clinical training. UCSF Medical Center is a quaternary care hospital where patients come from all over California and the West Coast to receive care. Faculty and fellows at our VA Medical Center perform TAVRs, Mitraclips, and complex coronary interventions offering our veterans some of the most advanced cardiovascular care. At our County Hospital, ZSFG, our fellows have the privilege and challenge of taking care of uninsured patients and see a wide range of pathology.

Faculty

We have a diverse group of over 80 cardiology faculty many of whom are world-renowned in their fields. Faculty and fellows are on a first name basis and meet regularly for social events, mentorship, and coaching. Faculty at all three of our teaching sites and research campuses offer expertise in a wide array of clinical and research expertise and are easily accessible to our fellows.
