Clinical Interests: Advanced heart failure, cardiac critical care
Research Interests: Heart transplantation
Why did you choose UCSF?: Exceptional clinical training, a friendly culture, and a rapidly growing heart transplant program, all in the most beautiful city.
Hobbies: Surfing, running, biking, sampling local croissants

Clinical Interests: Interventional cardiology and critical care
Research Interests: In residency I was interested in studying clinical reasoning and worked on trying to understand the differences in physician decision-making with regards to beta blocker discontinuation in patients with acute decompensated heart failure. In fellowship, I am interested in comparing clinical outcomes of different beta blockers in heart failure and/or atrial fibrillation.
Why did you choose UCSF?: I had the honor of doing my residency and chief residency at UCSF and I fell in love with the clinical excellence and the educational culture of this institution. I love that we practice at all 3 clinical sites and that they are seen as equally important to our education and the patients we serve. 
Hobbies: I love watching football (soccer) and following my favorite team Manchester United since I was a child. I love playing online video games and I enjoy reading 19th century French literature.

Clinical Interests: Interventional cardiology, women’s cardiovascular disease
Research Interests: Women’s cardiovascular health, with a focus on understanding the mechanisms and clinical manifestations of ischemia in the absence of obstructive epicardial coronary artery disease, including coronary microvascular dysfunction and vasospastic angina. My research aims to improve recognition and diagnosis of these conditions and ultimately address gaps in cardiovascular care for women.
Why did you choose UCSF?: I chose UCSF for its outstanding clinical training and its culture of curiosity, collaboration, and innovation. I’m especially excited to be part of a community that values both rigorous research and thoughtful patient-centered care, and that will allow me to continue pursuing my research interests. I’m also thrilled to build my career and call San Francisco home.
Hobbies: Hiking, tennis, listening to jazz music

Clinical Interests: Cardiogenic shock, peripartum cardiomyopathy, cardioOB
Research Interests: Biomarkers and cardiogenic shock; medical education including curriculum building and professional development; future interests include prediction tools for and outcomes of patients with peripartum cardiomyopathy.
Why did you choose UCSF?: I told my parents when I first moved to San Francisco that I was only here for a short three years but subsequently fell in love with the UCSF culture which emphasizes community at its core, clinical curiosity and collaboration with incredible mentors. I have been honored to stay for a chief year and now cardiology fellowship. 
Hobbies: I enjoy reformer pilates, scrapbooking, learning French (largely for my father-in-law) and investing in quality time with family and friends.

Clinical Interests: Preventive cardiology, interventional cardiology
Research Interests: Hypertension, health technology,  international health policy
Why did you choose UCSF?: Extensive and collaborative research infrastructure, excellent clinical training, and the opportunity to learn from industry-leading experts in a variety of subfields in cardiovascular medicine.
Hobbies: Hip hop dance, brewing Chinese tea, anime/video games

Clinical Interests: Women's cardiovascular health, cardiac imaging, electrophysiology 
Research Interests: Multimodal imaging and EHR-derived phenotyping to characterize subclinical cardiovascular disease and inform ablation planning and outcome prediction
Why did you choose UCSF?: The breadth of clinical exposure across all three sites, world-class research, and strong mentorship. Being in the bay area keeps me close to family in San Jose, with an easy flight to Vietnam.
Hobbies: Exploring parks, tennis, and travel with my family

Clinical Interests: Multimodality cardiovascular imaging 
Research Interests: Cardiovascular drug development and translational research, particularly the intersection of bioengineering and cardiology. I am interested in developing novel approaches for image-guided therapies. 
Why did you choose UCSF?: I feel very lucky to have stayed at UCSF for fellowship because of its combination of clinical training, cutting-edge research, and a deeply collaborative academic environment. I was especially drawn to the opportunity to work with leaders across cardiovascular medicine while developing my career as a physician-scientist.
Hobbies: Exploring San Francisco’s restaurants, learning about wine, traveling, and going on long walks and hikes with my husband and our Pomeranian.

Research Interests: Artificial intelligence and machine learning
Why did you choose UCSF?: I was ecstatic to continue my training at UCSF in Cardiology due to its incredible clinical and research training, supportive environment with dedicated clinician educators, and unparalleled number of female role models in Cardiology.
Hobbies: Eating, walking, and hiking my way around the Bay Area with my husband, Josh, a PCCM fellow at UCSF. And Barry's Bootcamp!
