Clinical Interests: Preventative, cardio-oncology
Research Interests: In my PhD, I studied the role of smooth muscle cells and endothelial cells in atherosclerosis with particular focus on the role of inflammation. More recently, I have been focusing on the pathophysiologic similarities of cancer and cardiovascular disease and how this might be of clinical relevance.
Why did you choose UCSF?: The combination of research and clinical excellence in a beautiful city with really kind inspiring colleagues - what more could you ask for?
Hobbies and/or Fun Fact: I love experimenting in the kitchen and any activity that allows me to be outside.

Hobbies and/or Fun Fact: Like many others in SF, I love being outside, running along the Embarcadero, finding new sunset hikes, playing tennis, and exploring the Bay Area.

Clinical Interests: General cardiology, global cardiology and public health, and otherwise still exploring!
Research Interests: HIV-associated cardiovascular disease, structural determinants of health, global/public health, and health policy.
Why did you choose UCSF?: I chose UCSF because of the fantastic clinical and research mentors who have a deep commitment to teaching and innovative research. The opportunities to learn and care for patients across the 3 hospitals is also a key strength - I especially love SFGH. UCSF is truly one of the best places to pursue research in health outcomes and public health to address health disparities.
