Hobbies and/or Fun Fact: When I am not in the hospital, you can usually find me outdoors either running, backpacking, hiking, cycling, gardening, or lounging in a hammock.

Why did you choose UCSF?: UCSF is a special place where all trainees and faculty are social justice-minded and share a passion for caring for the underserved. The rigorous clinical training and the three-hospital system provides the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while being exposed to a wide spectrum of clinical pathology. Most importantly, the tight community among faculty and fellows within the Cardiology department is amazing.
Hobbies and/or Fun Fact: I am a new dad and I enjoy caring for my son. I love the outdoors and going on hikes with my family and dog (Frijol). I like to attend Mexican music concerts around the bay.

Research Interests: Pregnancy in adults with congenital heart disease, management of pregnancy post heart transplant, transitions of care
Why did you choose UCSF?: In addition to the robust clinical training and research opportunities, UCSF stood out in terms of the strong support from program leadership and the collaborative environment between co-fellows and faculty. I was (and still am) impressed by the diversity and strong representation of women in cardiology both at the fellow and faculty level.
Hobbies and/or Fun Fact: I enjoy staying active and exploring new parks and playgrounds in San Francisco with my husband, our son Lincoln, and our dog Sammy.
