Megan McLaughlin, MD, MPH

Assistant Professor

Dr. McLaughlin is a general cardiologist trained in echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart). She has special interests in echocardiography, women’s cardiovascular health, and prevention of heart disease. She serves on the American Heart Association (AHA) Social Determinants of Health Committee and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease Section Leadership Council.

In her research, Dr. McLaughlin develops and tests new approaches to heart disease prevention, with a focus on improving treatment of risk factors for heart disease like high blood pressure and prevention of heart disease in women who have had complications of pregnancy.
