Dr. Michelle Albert appointed President of the Association of Black Cardiologists

We want to congratulate Michelle A. Albert, MD, MPH, for her appointment as President of the Association of Black Cardiologists. Dr. Albert brings more than 25 years of experience from her work at UCSF, Harvard, Columbia University, and Howard University, along with her role as director of UCSF's CeNter for the StUdy of AdveRsiTy and CardiovascULaR DiseasE (NURTURE Center).

In her role as President, Dr. Albert will help to promote the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, including stroke, in blacks and other minorities.

Dr. Albert joins Board Chair, Elizabeth Ofili, MD, MPH and CEO/Executive Director, Cassandra A. McCullough, MBA; it is the first time in ABC's history that the president, chair, and CEO are all women.
