Mandar Aras, MD, PhD

Dr. Aras is an advanced heart failure and heart transplant cardiologist with expertise in the management of patients with heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, heart transplant, and mechanical circulatory support devices. He is co-Director of the UCSF Comprehensive Amyloidosis Program and the clinical cardiology lead for the UCSF HHT Center of Excellence. In addition to expertise in heart failure and cardiomyopathies, he has developed a specific focus in cardio-oncology (management of cardiovascular issues in cancer patients). His research interests focus on understanding infiltrative and inflammatory heart diseases.
